6pm from Thursday 5th Nov until Wednesday 2nd December.
The Archbishops have called the Church of England to a month of prayer for the nation every day of lockdown at 6pm. That’s 28 days of focused prayer. The call to prayer is in the same spirit that God called Solomon to pray in times of calamity.
When I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or command locusts to devour the land or send a plague among my people, if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:13-14
You can join the time of prayer each day at 6pm at home or on the phone with a friend. You can download the private prayer guide and pray at 6pm for the nation.
Or you can join Holy Trinity Church at 6pm on Zoom every day.
Anyone is welcome to join the prayer meeting. Please text Neil on 07810544265 or Sunita 07462061039 to let us know to expect you.
Click the following link to join the Zoom prayer meeting. Zoom operates a waiting room system, so when you join you need to wait until the host lets you in.
The church buildings will be open on Wednesdays at 6pm and Saturdays at 11am for private prayer.
We also believe that we should be praying in the parish for the people of the parish of Holy Trinity and the surrounding areas at this time.
Under the current rules people can go for a walk in twos. This is the way Jesus sent his disciples out. So, if you could go for a prayer walk with someone, please arrange it and let us know which area you are praying for. We can also arrange prayer partners. If you want to pray walk with someone else, please let us know.
