Jesus said to his disciples ““Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me.” (Matthew 24:9).
Iranian Pastor Youcef Nadarkhani is facing execution by the Iranian authorities for his conversion to Christ and for work in his name. Please keep him in prayer.
Pray too for the Iranian leaders, who know that God is the God of justice and that hell is real and terrible (Quaran Sura 4:93, 121 etc). Pray that they will know how their various sins condemn them before God. Pray that Iran’s leaders will come to know the love, mercy and grace of God in the death of Christ in our place, how he took what we deserve on the cross to satisfy God’s justice and to offer us peace. It is only the gospel of grace that stops bloodthirsty men from killing men of integrity (Proverbs 29:10).
