We sold out of this book today at church, but the good news is that it is available as a .pdf for free. If you would like to read something cross centred for Lent, John Piper’s book, The Passion of Jesus Christ. It contains 50 chapters each with a different reason why Christ died on the cross. To downlaod it, click here or on the book image.
Holy Trinity Church is holding a whole week of Easter Events and, if you live nearby, you will be given a personal invitation. There are our invitations. You don’t need to wait to be invited to register for an event. If you want to come along, please contact Neil or Helen, Details are on the cards or on our contacts page.
Our Lent course this year focuses on our frontlines, the places God has put us to be effective as Christ’s people in the world. Identify your frontlines and find ways to support one another through small groups to carry on living for Christ in the world. Thursday 6th March 1:30pm and 7:30pm in the church hall, for six weeks. Contact Neil Robbie to register your place. 07810 544 265.
Thanks to the guys at New life Church in Roehampton for making the teaching at Reaching the Unreached available for anyone who couldn’t make it to the conference. The talks are available on the New Life Youtube page and we’ve set up an RTU13 page on the Holy Trinity Church website.
This is a conference I wish everyone engaged in word ministry at Holy Trinity could have gone on. The principles of gospel mission to multi-cultural, urban deprived communties is something we need to learn fast. Watch these talks and we’ll soon see the gospel of Christ going more viral than it already is.
Take five minutes to watch this presentation about the character of God, why human life is so hard and how it can change for good forever. The guy who put this together, Glen Scrivner, will be coming to St Bart’s Wednesbury on Saturday the 8th June to do some evangelism training. More details to follow at church.
One of things we are keen to do at Holy Trinity is to be grounded in the genuine gospel of Jesus Christ, as revealed to us in the bible. At the same time, we realise that culture changes and so the way we hear the gospel must change. That’s why we want to listen the old message in new packaging. So, here’s a sample of the sort of music some of us at Holy Trinity like. Enjoy.
In God’s grand design, he has created a community of people who love and glorify him as our rescuer from sin and evil and so love one another as we repent, believe and do the right thing. Our mission statement seeks to remind us of the reasons why the church is here.
We also have a vision for the future, where we see the community around Holy Trinity unitied in love for Jesus Christ as our rescuer and unitied in love for one another and our neighbours because of Christ. We see this happening as people join together to reflect on God’s word, pray and care for one another. We invite you to become part of that vision. For ways to get involved, you can use one of our contact details.
